Maria Regina School utilizes the Common Core State Standards, which were adopted by more than 40 states in 2010 for standards English and math (available at:
http://www.cde.ca.gov/re/cc/tl/whatareccss.asp).
Teachers, parents, and educational experts designed the CCSS: (1) with the belief that having the same standards helps all students get a good education, even if they change schools or move to a different state, and (2) to prepare students for success in college and the workplace.
Note: A link for Spanish translations of the Common Core State Standards is available at: http://www.cde.ca.gov/re/cc/tl/whatareccss.asp.
